October so far...

October in Ohio is my favorite! The Fall weather, the fun Fall activities and the yummy food! One of my very favorite things to do in Ohio is to go apple picking! I don't know if its because I never was able to do this in Utah, or if it is eating delicious apples as you pick...whatever it is, I just love it! We happened to pick the coldest day of the month to go to Lynds Fruit Farm to pick apples, but that was not going to stop my excitement of enjoying my favorite activity! We brought Sweetie with us and picked Golden Delicious and Jonagold apples! They were delicious! I made apple dumplings, apple crisp and caramel for dipping the apples in!

Regan has been traveling SO much this month for work, so on one of the days he got home, we decided to bring Emery to the Columbus Zoo! Emery had a blast with having all of the attention just on him since the kids were in school.

Regan and Riley went to the Michigan/BYU game in Michigan for a weekend, so I took the other kids to a local apple orchard...Goodsons Apple Orchard. We picked pixie crunch apples and they were so good!

We had the missionaries over to our house for General Conference. The kids always love having them over. The kids even had a nerf gun war with the missionaries...

The week before general conference, I got crafts, activities and snacks ready so we could really enjoy listening. The girls worked on conference packets and crafts for 2 days!
Elle even made this unicorn pillow!
I got so much out of conference this year and am so grateful for the inspiring words we heard!
School picture day is always a bit scary! Not only do you have to have cute outfits that the girls agree  to wear, but you have to worry about their HAIR! One of these days, I am going to volunteer at picture day and be the Mom that makes sure that shirts look good, jewelry is straight and hair isn't a mess before their picture is taken! We have had so many picture re takes, so I sure hope the girls pictures come back like this!

I took the boys to get hair cuts one day and I guess Emery was just a bit tired...He full on fell asleep while getting his hair cut!
Riley played in his first High School Orchestra Performance! He was so excited to be part of the group...he ate dinner with them, and got pictures with the orchestra! The kids are so nice to him and it makes me so glad that they have accepted him in their orchestra since he is sooooo much younger than them!
These kids all asked if they could get a picture with Riley.

My friend saw this on her daughters instagram...I could not stop laughing! They think of Riley has their little brother in the high school orchestra!

I could not be more proud of this boy of mine. Not only does he wake up early to go to the high school every single day, but he practices the high school music, the middle school music, the chamber orchestra music and his home music without ever complaining. He is turning into an awesome musician and an even better young man.
