Aunt Linda's Visit

My Aunt Linda, from California came out for a week to visit us in Ohio!
It was very nice of her to come out to visit us and we had a lot of fun with her.
Every day, we had some sort of activity planned and tried to show her the beauty of Ohio!

 We went to Kirtland to see the Kirtland Temple and LDS visitors center.
 It was a beautiful day to explore the Church history sites.
 We went to the John Johnson Farm where the Prophet Joseph Smith stayed for a while.
 We also went to the Knewel K. Whitney store which is one of my favorite church history sites.
 We made a trip to the Columbus, Ohio Temple
 We went to German Village {the Book Loft-includes 32 rooms of books, and lunch to Schmidts}
 We went to a Relief Society Activity where we learned how to paint on a canvas with acrylic paint! Aunt Linda has always been a wonderful artist, so of course her painting looked amazing! Mine--not so much! Hey, we all need to learn how to do new things!
 We went to a botanical Garden in Columbus. They had these Pumpkin heads that were pickled...
 At the botanical garden, they had a lot of blown glass art which was amazing. We even went to a class to see how the blow glass was made.
 The kids were so interested in the paintings we had don at Relief society, so we had them paint their own canvases. Aunt Linda was a great teacher!
Aunt Linda is a great historian, so on Sunday morning, we had her help the kids fill in their family trees. Once the names were all put in, the girls had a blast coloring the houses!

We love having visitors since we live so far away from family, so we are grateful to the people who make a big effort to come see us!
