I truly cannot believe it, but the last day of school has come! It honestly seems like we just moved to Ohio and 3 days later we started school while living in a hotel! Well, it wasn't yesterday, it was 9 months ago! I guess the saying 'time flies when you're having fun' is certainly true.
I took this picture of the kids right before they went to the bus stop for their last day of school! All 3 of them look
Older and smarter to me compared to the first day of school.
Emery wanted to join in on the action... It
Seriously just kills me how cute my kids are...
Riley has had the best year in 4th grade. Mrs. Mckenzie was the best teacher for Riley and he did an awesome job academically. He grew up a lot this year...starting to like girls, started to stick up for himself and started reading some very difficult books.
He is now on Harry potter #6!! So impressive!
So she referred her to the schools reading specialt team and they worked with her all year to get her to grade level. Regan and I met with the team throughout the year to check in with her progress. I am happy to say that she is now reading on grade level. She worked hard all year and we will continue to work hard throughout the summer.
We decided to have Elle go to kindergarten instead of preschool 2 dad before school started because her birthday was in the school year criteria whereas in Utah it was not.Making the decision to have her start kindergarten was the best decision because she had the best year. Mrs. Wilson was the kindest, most loving teacher and Elle loved school so much!!!
The kids were so excited to go on the bus and finish school this morning!
And had fun playing lots of games! Here he is with a bunch of his friends.
While I was watching Riley, emery found his way over to the 4th grade girls on the playground. You would have thought he was a celebrity with those girls...they followed him around everywhere, asked him a ton of questions just to hear his cute voice.
Riley noticed that bubby was getting all of this attention and said to me, "it's nice to have a cute baby brother because he is a chick magnet!"
Presentation for her final day and had
Something special to say about each of her kids. I had tears coming down my eyes because she loves her kids
So much! She wrote that Elle is a fashionista, loves all things girly, purple and sparkly. She also wrote about all of the things she loves about Elle! Amazing teacher!!!
For Sunnys class party, I was in charge of the craft so I had the kids make these cute popcicle bookmarkers for their summer reading. I used my laminating machine that I go a few years ago and it worked perfectly!
Did not expect the school year to go as
Well as it did and I just feel super blessed!
Now for the summer homework begins! The school sent home an awesome packet called brain games to complete during summer break so they can keep up on everything they learned this school year!! Freedom trail elementary and the school district are so awesome!
