We went to Disneyland for 1 day and packed in as much fun as you possibly could have at Disneyland! I think our family is at the perfect age to go to Disneyland because Riley still loves everything about Disneyland, especially his new found love-PIN TRADING!, Sunny & Elle love everything princess and Sunny is loving that she can go on all of the big rides, and Emery LOVES LOVES LOVE the characters all over the place! It helps that he is full on obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so to see all of the characters in real life from the show is so fun for him!
This was a big year for me...it was the first year I forgo my cute sandals and went for something more practical...the tennis shoes came out for the day at Disneyland and I will never go back! My feet were not aching like they usually do! We were at Disneyland from the time the gates opened until they closed!
Seriously, Emery LOVED all of the characters on Main Street!
We were able to go to Disneyland with my family as well as my Aunt Linda which was awesome!
Favorite Foods at Disneyland: chocolate/caramel apples, churrows, corn dogs, monte cristo sandwiches, tigger tails, and dole whips!
I just LOVE how Riley is not afraid to approach ANYONE to trade a pin...my Dad was actually getting a kick out of it because Riley walked right up to this huge biker guy covered in tats with no hesitation because he wanted to see what pins he was wearing.
Our first dole whip...YUM!
Walking around at Disneyland is exhausting...my parents were good sports to sit with the little tired ones.
Seriously, Emery just LOVED all of the rides!
Splash Mountain Screen Shots...gotta love them!
Okay...this little girl, Elle is OBSESSED with FROZEN! Elsa & Anna are in the cottage next to Pinnochio's ride and so throughout the day I would check to see what the line was like and it was always 2+ hours. Finally, at the end of the day, the line was 3 hours long and they were about to shut the line down, so I knew what I needed to do. This little girl was counting on me. She said she didn't want to ride anymore rides, all she wanted to do was to meet Elsa & Anna...what's a mom to do? SO...I waited in line for 2 hours by myself, then 1 more hour with Elle-so a total of 3 hours waiting for Elsa & Anna. Would I do it again....
Absolutely--seeing the expression and excitement on Elle's face was worth every minute! When she walked into the cottage, Elsa said to Anna, "look Anna, the cute little girl has snow balls on her head." "You are right Elsa, they look like little snow balls...how cute!" Elle was STAR STRUCK! She could not say a word, and she didn't say a word to them for the 2 minutes they were together. WOW-to be speechless because you are so excited to see your idols is probably an amazing feeling so I am so glad that she was able to get that experience! I was just super sad that Sunny would rather ride Indiana Jones over and over than to see Elsa & Anna...she is growing up!
So, whenever I see this picture of Elle holding her idols hands, I will think that ya, it did stink to wait in a long, hot line for 3 hours, but man was it worth it because of that smile!!!
