UTAH summer Trip

Our kids are seriously such great road trippers! Maybe it has something to do with building walls to block out your siblings...
Our trip from Columbus to Utah was done in 2 days! We woke up every morning at 4am and drove for 15 hours a day! We saw some beautiful country and had some great talks about Regan's 2 favorite topics-our finances and our retirement!
When the kids got to Grammy & Grampys house, they went right for the toys!
This picture looks like Chrissy really came home from Russia, but it really is a cardboard cutout of her! WOW-looks so real! I have missed her so much since she left on her mission, but being home for Angie's wedding and not having Chrissy there was SOOO sad! She is such a great example to us!
My awesome friend Amanda watched my kids while I got my hair done and lets just say my kids SERIOUSLY did not want to leave! They swam with ducks in a pond for crying out loud! How can I compete with that?

Its so funny to me how you can be reunited with friends once a year and pick up right where you left off on...my kids were so excited to play with the Well's kids! So glad we have awesome Utah friends!
We did a good job of doing our summer homework and violin while we were in Utah!!!

Being with this little Dolly Girl, Lucy was SOOO awesome! It sure is a good thing I'm having a baby because this would have gotten me SUPER baby hungry! My kids had so much fun being with Carson and Lucy!!!
We were even able to be there for Baby Lucy's baby blessing!
Going to our favorite Utah spots like Houkalea Shaved ice was a highlight!

We had SO much fun at Thanksgiving Point's Curiosity Museum with Nana, Grandpa Bob and the Rasmusen fam!!!
The wind machine is my very favorite thing at the museum...it is a wind simulator that blows 85 miles per hour--you can't even breathe while you are in there!!

We were able to visit Grandma & Grandpa Anderson's graves in Bluffdale for Fathers Day. Such great examples and we just so happened to be there on their anniversary!

Then we went to Brigham City to visit Papa's Grave for Fathers Day. He was such a happy and positive guy!

You would never think that a cemetery is a fun place to visit, but we love going to the Brigham City Cemetery because of the canal. The kids love throwing pine cones in it to have races, and we eventually wound up swimming in it!

I couldn't help taking this pic of my sister Ashley and her holding her boy Carson on a leash...I used to think these leashes were crazy, but knowing Carson, my opinion has completely changed! HE NEEDS this leash for the safety of himself since we have classified him as a "runner"! I still can't help but laugh when I see him in his leash!!
When we go to Brigham City, there are a few stops we have to make...we eat dinner at Maddox which I have deemed my favorite place to eat in the world, and then to a place called Smith & Edwards-can you see that we like to take the merchandise that people actually buy and dress up in it? Who in the world would wear those monster white boots???

Being at my parents house is pure bliss...it is the most beautiful yard I have ever seen and that is no lie! To have 3 weddings in your back yard is a pretty big deal! Whenever the sprinklers went on, the kids would ask Grampy if they could run in them.
The girls found some of my old high school dance dresses!
I got to have lunch with my awesome friend, Manon! We have been friends since high school, then we were college roommates, and we will be friends until we die. She is one of those friends that always makes you laugh, is so adventurous, and you can start right back where you left off on.
For 3 days, the whole fam looked for Riley's iPhone with no luck! When Angie heard about the search, she found it within 20 minutes...her reward was shaved ice!
One of Grampys traditions when we are in town is to take the kids to the church to play games! Lets just say it is a highlight!
Another highlight is "Grammy Day" where the kids get to go to Color me mine and paint pottery, go out to lunch and pick out an outfit and a toy with Grammy! They LOVE this day and sure don't let Grammy forget that they need to do it!!!

 Yeah for Grammy & Grampy!
 WE LOVE BABY LUCY!!
A trip to BYU to make sure the kids know it is the only college they should go to is a must! The candy counter is a fave!
 art museum
 twinner cousins
I had so much fun with Ashley while we were in Utah! Now that we both have kids and have crazy lives, it is so much fun to have her to talk to about everything. She is seriously SOOO funny!
