I know I am super bias, but I just cannot get over how cute these kids are! I mean come on...they all are just so cute! My girls are just gorgeous with their adorable smiles and freckles all over their face. My boys are just so handsome and have the cutest smiles. I must be their mom!
Just for the record, I did not pose the kids. Elle came up with that pose all on her own! I love how diva-ish it is even though she is not a diva. Cutest kids EVER! I made Sunny wear the necklace I made since she thinks she is too big to wear them. How could she not want to wear a matching necklace and bow with her cute skirt?
The girls {once again, I did not pose Elle-all her!}
The boys. Such handsome guys of mine!
Sunny has been such a great helper lately, and I asked her to set the table with our nice china plates and crystal glasses. She came up with this center piece all on her own...2 daffodils in a plastic cup and a huge leaf in a glass cup. Pretty creative if you ask me!
Easter dinner consisted of a honey baked ham, scalloped potatoes, frog eye salad, broccoli and corn, deviled eggs, sparkling apple and peach bubbly and homemade pie!
Oh ya, and of course the eggs that the kids had decorated. Note to self: do not make deviled eggs again! They take forever to make and nobody even liked them!
I was pretty proud of myself on these lovely homemade pies. They turned out just perfect and they tasted amazing! Coconut cream pie and Strawberry cream pie. We were invited over to a family in our wards house for dessert, so I brought my pies. It was a great way to end a perfect Easter weekend by having the kids play with their friends while the parents talked over pie!
This was our first Easter on our own, and I do have to say that the traditions that we have had in the past have become our own and that is what made our Easter awesome. Being together as a family is the most important thing and I am just so thankful I was able to share some fun time with my family.
I taught the Relief Society Easter lesson in church and I was able to share an amazing video the church put out called beacuse of him. At the end of the video, I had everyone take an easter egg filled with chocolate, and say "because of him, ..." and fill in with your own answer. It was so awesome to hear everyone share a short testimony of how Jesus Christ has effected their lives.
"Because of him, I can be with my family forever!"
Happy Easter 2014
