Emery, Winnie and I were able to fly to Utah to see my sister Chrissy come home from her mission to Russia! The kids were such good travelers!!! Emery watched his iPad the whole time, and Winnie was just her cute self on all of the flights! I felt so blessed because I was actually really nervous to fly with the 2 little ones by myself!
Besides seeing Chrissy, my favorite thing about this trip was that everyone got to meet my sweet Baby Winnie for the first time!!! This is my first baby that I have had not being around family so it has been sad that my family couldn't see Winnie so I felt blessed to have my family meet her!
Grammy!
We even stayed in my old bedroom!!!
Grammy & Aunt Angie!
Grampy & Uncle Robby!
Scotty & Lisa!
I have been having kids for almost 12 years, so it is so exciting that some of my siblings are starting to have their own kids! My sister has Carson who Emery LOVES to play with and Lucy who is just a little older than Winnie! My brother and his wife just had a baby boy so now 2 of my kids have cousins to play with on my side of the family! I loved watching my siblings play and help with Emery and Winnie!
Emery was SOOOOOO excited to have a sleepover with Carson in the toy room!
We all made signs to bring to the airport as we picked Chrissy up!!! Carson was SO tired, but I don't blame him because it was midnight in Utah when we picked her up which means East Coast time was 2AM!!! Poor guy!
Winnie was so excited to meet Aunt Chrissy!
My sister in Law, Lisa made this adorable Russian hat for Baby Brady to meet Chrissy in! OH MY GOSH...SO CUTE!
The flag looks like a Mexican flag because the yellow and blue made green, but it was supposed to be a Russian Flag! To say we were excited to see Chrissy is a major understatement! She was gone for 19 months, but honestly, it felt like 5 years! She is the baby of our family and we were just so glad she was safe and HOME! As we were all anxiously waiting for her to come down the stairs, some cute ladies came up and said she was coming soon and that she was such a good girl...I LOST IT! I just started crying and forgot to start chanting her name because I was just crying! When I saw her at the top of the stairs, it seriously was like Christmas morning! Best gift ever was to have Chrissy home! I feel like when my kids go on missions, I'm going to be the psycho mom that will be bawling as they leave and come home based off of how I was with Chrissy!
Chrissy met 3 new babies in our family and a new brother in law!
Chrissy brought us all cute scarves and Russian Dolls!
My Dad had so much fun with Emery and Carson! He brought them to the church gym to play basketball and geronimo, and brought them to his office! He is the best grampy ever!
Emery hangs on to his every word as he is telling stories!
Uncle Jordan even got to meet our little Winnie Girl!
We were lucky to go to Pleasant Grove to have Winnie meet Regan's Mom and his sisters family! Uncle Jeramie had the special touch and Winnie fell asleep in his arms!
Grandpa Bob and Nana were so excited to meet Winnie!
Aunt Chelsea and her boys!
It was so much fun to spend the night with all of them!
Aunt Ashley and Sweet Winnie
Lucy and Winnie!
Yeah for Sisters with Babies! I have been having babies all on my own so now I finally have family that has babies when I did!
SMALL**** MEDIUM****LARGE BRADY***WINNIE***LUCY!
Emery is plugging his nose because of someone's stinky diaper...it was so much fun hanging out with my family!!!
Chrissy!!! LOVE THIS GIRL SO MUCH!
Here are the McKell siblings...Andrea, Scotty, Ashley, Robby, Angie & Chrissy!
Chrissy gave Emery this Russian Hat and he has worn it SOOO much! She said it is a magic hat, and so he calls it his magic Mother Russia Hat!
I was looking forward to this trip for months and had So much fun while I was in Utah! I really miss not living by my family, so the time I am with them is very special! We used to live an hour away from my family and were able to see them for 2 hours on Sunday dinners, but it seemed so rushed because we always had to leave to get back for a school day the next day. When I am in Utah for a week like this, or 2 months in the summer, I actually feel like it is better because it is longer, more quality time as opposed to short little times every few weeks. I love my family so much and I am grateful for the time I got to spend with them. I am even more grateful that Chrissy is home safe from Russia! She is such an amazing example to me of serving the Lord and being selfless. She made me want to be a better person while she was on her mission.
