Family in Town and a Special Day!

So a day after I got home from my awesome Utah trip, my Mom, Dad and sister Chrissy flew to Columbus to be with us for Winnie's Baby Blessing and Riley's Priesthood ordination! I had to capture this picture of my Mom walking Sweetie because she hates dogs, but somehow whenever she comes to visit, she always takes Sweetie on a walk!
To say the kids were excited to see Chrissy is a major understatement! THEY LOVE HER SO MUCH and were so excited to see her! In this picture, she is telling them a story about her mission and they are captivated by it! Even Emery! She is the best sister and Aunt!
The most random thing, my brother in law was in Columbus for a day on the same day my family came into town so he came to our house for a few hours and it was so awesome! He was the last of my family to meet Winnie! We finished a music video we started with the family in Utah and the end product is epic! Emery actually watches it every day!
Grampy is the very best! He loves the grandkids so much and plays with them which is so awesome! Here, he is the tickle monster and Emery would ask him to tickle him 10 times a day!
We took a day to do a church history tour. We started out touring the Kirtland Temple, then went to the LDS visitors center and toured the Knewel K. Whitney store, ate lunch at an amish restaurant and ended the day with going to the John Johnson Farm!

 The pioneer Kids!
We took them to the botanical Gardens in Columbus and they had an awesome butterfly display that was pretty cool!

So I knew my Mom loved to go to Antique Stores, but this trip she actually scouted out a few that she wanted to go to so Chrissy and I had a fun time trying on weird outfits while my mom found her treasures! When you think about it, its actually kind of gross that we are trying on fur coats, old dresses and hats! Who knows what kind of stuff is still in them!!!

Riley wanted to get in on the action too!
 And Winnie...

We were lucky to have the family in town to be able to watch the kids while Regan and I went to the Ohio American Family Spring Awards! I was so proud of Regan. He made an awesome speech to hundreds of people and even got a standing ovation. One of the amfam executes told me he has been with the company for 30 years and has never seen that at a spring awards and I was SO proud of Regan! He is such an energetic and motivating guy and his energy is contagious!

On to the main event...Winnie's Baby Blessing and Riley's Priesthood Ordination! It was so special to have some of my family here for this special day!
When a boy turns 12, they get the priesthood of God and have certain responsibilities to fulfill in the church. My parents bought Riley this awesome suit that he chose {he wanted navy blue, a vest, a cool tie and matching handkerchief} My parents are so supportive of our family and we are so grateful for them!
My parents bought Winnie this beautiful blessing dress and to have these 2 special events on the same day was so special! My oldest and my youngest kids! So grateful my family could be here!

I am so grateful for my beautiful family! We are so blessed to have these 5 amazing children!

That night we had a talent show and invited over our awesome next door neighbors, the Nagels and Regan's childhood friend, Matt Smith and his family. Each of the kids played a violin song and sang a song. Here is Emery singing GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN! My personal favorite!
I even got Chrissy to perform for us!
Regan gave us a personal tour of Columbus and it was so cool to see a bunch of things I have never even noticed in Columbus! We went inside this Greek Orthodox church and it was GORGEOUS!
We ate at a fun place called MELT. Any kind of grilled cheese you can even think of!
The imax of the national parks movie was super cooL!
The girls LOVED having Aunt chrissy!!!
 More antique store fun!
When Grammy went home, she left a special present for each of the kids. Elle LOVES her crayon caddy, Riley devoured his salty caramel jeni's ice cream and Sunny LOVED her markers!

I am so grateful to have this family of mine! They support us and love us and it makes living across the country so much easier when they come to visit us! We were always be so grateful for their support!
