Summer with Regan's family...

We were very lucky to have spent so much time with Regan's family while we were in Utah this summer! Regan's mom, Michelle lives in Pleasant Grove which is 20 minutes away from my family! We had a lot of fun adventures with them! The best thing to do while visiting Michelle and Bob is to go to their amazing basement! It is better than a museum! They have pretty much every animal in their game room and Grandpa Bob likes to quiz the grandkids on which animal is which! Emery LOVES going down to the animal room!
I'm not a real big animal lover, but if I had to pick a favorite, it obviously would be the cougar!
GO BYU!!!!
Michelle has a grandparent pass to Thanksgiving Point so we met Regan's sister, Chelsea and her kids there quite a bit throughout the summer! There is so much to do there...this picture is at the Noah's Arc where the kids can explore kid gardens and play in the water! The new curiosity museum is AMAZING! You could spend a whole day there and my kids LOVED IT!!!
Why is it that boys think this is spending quality time with each other? Grrr.....
We went to Heber, Utah and took a ride on the HEBER CREEPER Train to Vivian Park in Provo Canyon! It was so awesome to take a ride on an old train with the windows down, the cool canyon air coming in, a mock train robbery {kids so thought it was real!} and having fun with cousins! It was our first time and it was so much fun!
The girls LOVED helping Nana pick the berries off of her bushes!
Nana took the berries that the kids picked and put them in a bowl with milk and sugar-Sunny was in heaven!
On the 4th of July, it was Bob's birthday so we went to Salt Lake City to the Tracy Aviary! It was fun to see so many different kinds of birds and to be with Grandpa Bob on his birthday! We stayed at their house that evening and watched Pleasant Grove City's fireworks right in the middle of their street!

Michelle took us to the Scera Theater to see an outside production of Les Miserables. The girls LOVED it! Regan's love for this musical has certainly made its way to the girls!

We went to the Thanksgiving Point Curiosity Museum with all of the cousins and it was AWESOME! They had 4 worlds inside and one of the worlds was called Water Works. Emery sat in these cute chairs and was surrounded by water to play with! I need one of these table!!!
My favorite thing at the water works world was the 84 mile per hour wind simulator! I love sticking my head out of the car window, so this was even better!!!
This museum was just intriguing and you could spend all day there!!!
I'm so glad Regan's Mom has a grandparent pass because the kids really do look forward to coming here!
We hiked to my favorite spot-the Kiwanis Waterfalls. Regan and I used to hike this when we were dating and so it was fun to relive those fun memories! The kids are such great hikers!
What's a family reunion without taking pictures? Regan sucked it up and didn't complain about the family pictures we took with his fam! The last week of July, Regan flew from Ohio to be with his family for a Riley Family Reunion. We stayed at Michelle and Bob's house with Brady's family, Riley loved having sleepovers with his cousins, and we had a lot of fun times with his family!
All of the cousins together with Nana & Grandpa Bob
Emery was actually doing a great job with the pictures, but Brady sent me this one of him...
We took all 11 of the grandkids on a hike to Timpanogos Cave in American Fork Canyon. The kids did a great job. Regan was explaining to them before we started the rules of hiking...single file line.
They did a great job...as we were headed down the mountain, we told all of the kids to stay close to the rock wall while we waited for the rest of our group. The next thing we know, the kids are all screaming because they heard a rattling sound...Sure enough, there was a rattle snake inside the rocks where we had told the kids to stay close! Luckily the snake was rattling to warn the kids to stay away!!!!!!
This picture just kills me...this little guy was over the moon to be with his dad since we didn't see him very much this summer! He loved being in the pack on the hike and loved talking to his dad the whole day! Best Buds forever!
Sunny, Elle and Kourtney were inseparable the whole entire time we were with Regan's family! It was so cute to see them play with each other!
All of the kids made it to the top without complaining!!!
Here is the whole gang...I need to get some of the pictures Brady took inside the cave because it was amazing! So worth the hike up to the top!!!
After our huge hike to Timpanogos Cave, you would think that you would just go home and nap...nope-we wanted to keep the fun going. We went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Before the dinosaurs, they had a curiosity display in a huge room. There were hundreds of these foam bricks that we all played with to make a wall. The funniest thing was as we were making this wall, Emery accidentally fell into the wall and the whole entire thing came crashing down!!!
One of my favorite moments was while we were at Chelsea's house, Regan was having Myles show him his new football gear. After Regan tried on his helmet, he tackled Myles onto his bed...gotta love big Uncles!

We had so much fun with Regan's family! My favorite thing to do with his family is to play cards. The 2 games we always play is Hearts and Peanut {group Salitare}
