While Riley was at the U of U Computer Camp all week, Chrissy and I were left in Salt Lake for a few hours just waiting for him. Riley learned at the computer camp scratch} how to program games! Every day he would get into the car and talk our ears off about all of the cool stuff he had learned! Here are some of the fun things we did while waiting for him...
Here is Emery and Lincoln making buddies with each other.
Manon wanted a serious pose for the picture of us, so here it is...She is so funny! I'm so glad we have remained such great friends all of these years!!!
Chrissy and I went to City Creek in downtown Salt lake and looked at all of the awesome stores and had the kids play at the fountains. I was so glad I was able to spend a ton of time with Chrissy this summer since she is leaving for a mission for our church in August! She is such an awesome sister and an awesome Aunt to my kids!
One of Chrissy and my tasks throughout the summer was to cook dinner. We discovered that there was SO much food in my parents freezer in the basement so we were bound and determined to use as much frozen food as we could in our dinners. The first night we were able to make Hawaiian Haystacks without buying one item from the store! If you are familiar with this recipe, you know that there are a TON of ingredients! We were super proud of ourselves for being so frugal!
To say the kids had a fun time with Aunt Chrissy was a major understatement!
We went to Temple Square one day and explored the grounds.
It was fun for me to show the kids where Mom and Dad got married and how we had our picture taken by this door of the temple!
I was so happy we were able to see the beautiful Salt Lake Temple.
Chrissy is just so funny and fun!
We went to a wedding reception with my family at Snow Basin and it was a party...my kids just could not help themselves when the dancing began!!
I love that Uncle Robby helped Emery brush his teeth...no more complaining from Emery!
I was able to go to the Draper Temple with Chrissy for her first time in preparation for her mission. It was so awesome to be there with my family and to enjoy everyone's company that night!
I was sad we missed Father's Day with Regan...I left a present and the kids cards in a hiding spot before we left-but it did stink to not be with him on that day. On the bright side, we were able to be with Grampy on Fathers Day. Emery and Grampy shared a can of Dad's root beer!
