Elle's FROZEN Birthday Party!

It wasn't even a question of what kind of birthday party to have as we were preparing for Elle's 6th Birthday party...FROZEN!!!
She is pretty much obsessed with anything FROZEN so when we started to organize her party, she just got so excited!
SNACKS: whoppers for snowman buttons, Powder Sugar Donuts for Snowballs, Pretzel sticks for Arms, and carrots for snowman noses!
We also had Melted Snowman water...Elle totally thought this was real!

Decorating for this party was SO much fun! I made a ton of snowflakes for the wall, found big posters of Elsa and Anna and the color scheme of Frozen is so fun to work with!
A few hours before the party, Elle said, "Mom, what am I going to wear? I really really wanted to wear an Elsa dress..." I knew she would say this, so Mom to the rescue...I had ordered the cutest Elsa dress weeks before so I had her follow me into my closet and said, "Will this work?" She freaked out...I braided her hair like Elsa's and put on the crown...her life was pretty much complete!

I was down in my basement trying to find snowflakes in the Christmas bins when I thought, I could totally decorate a tree to go with the Frozen theme!!! I put all of the white and silver decorations I had with an Elsa doll right in the middle!
Here is the snack table...I loved the crystalized sugar candy sticks!

As we were waiting for the guests to all arrive, each girl colored their own Frozen coloring page
 We made Frozen Bead necklaces...
 We did a science experiment...hot water and epsom salt on black paper are supposed to form crystals...{This project was a major fail...not only did the crystals not appear, but the salt made the BIGGEST mess!!!}
Each girl got their own Elsa Crown!
Everyone decorated a popsicle stick snowflake!

As the girls were doing their crafts, Riley comes down to the party dressed like the snow monster in the movie...totally NOT planned! This is what happens when a 10 year old boy is bored at a girls birthday party. I will give him major creative props though...
 The cutest Frozen girls ever!
 Snack time!

Growing up, I remember playing the cotton ball game where you have to transfer cotton balls from one tray to the next all with a spatula! I did a twist on this fun game and called it the snowball game!
Elle had 1 request...she just HAD to have a piñata...so she GOT a Piñata!

Usually, I make the kids birthday cake-I spend hours researching and making it, and they turn out cute but they are SO much effort. This year, I gave myself a break and ordered one from the store since I was running my race the morning before the party! I think that they did a cute job decorating it!

Seeing how excited this girl was for her Frozen party, and how much fun she had made all of the planning and executing worth it! It actually reminded me of the time I waited in line for Elsa and Anna at Disneyland for 3 hours just so this little girl could see them....the things I do for her, and for Frozen!

Well, lets just say I went to bed that night at 8:00 because I was EXHAUSTED! I would say a very productive day...a race, a clean house, 12 girls at a frozen party!!!

My deal with the kids is that they can have a friend party every other year, so I am good for another year now!
