We went on a day trip to Kirtland, Ohio with the Pope Family. We went on a tour of the Kirtland Temple. The tour was kind of weird just because it is not owned by our church,
We went to the Newel K. Whitney Store which is a pretty cool piece of Church history. Newel K. Whitney and his family became members of the Church and helped Joseph Smith and his family when they came to Kirtland. Joseph Smith's family lived on the top floor, and Joseph Smith received a few revelations from Heavenly Father in this building. It was so cool to be inside.
We had the Pope's with us for 2 weeks and it was so awesome! They drove all the way from Texas, spent Christmas with us, went to Kirtland with us, and went to Washington DC with us. We made some really fun memories with them and are so thankful that they came to see us.
