May so far...

Sweetie LOVES looking at the fish at the Vet's office!
There are times when I seriously feel like I have 5 kids...this is one of those times. I took Sweetie in to the vet to get vaccinations with the younger 2 kids which normally would have been fine, but both kids were acting like they were dogs {on all 4's trying to lick things...} so being at the vet for an hour and a half was fun times!!!

The next day after the vet, Riley noticed that Sweetie had 2 big bloody spots on her back. I called the vet and they wanted me to come in with Sweetie. Turns out she had an allergic reaction to the vaccinations so they had to shave the 2 spots. I then had to give her antibiotics and a powder medication for a week so that the spots would get better. I had to put a shirt on her for the weekend so she wouldn't scratch the spots! Yes, 5 kids!!!
The kids and I ran a 5K race for autism. Regan was the MC for the race, so I had all 4 kids with me! I pushed the double stroller with the 2 younger kids while Sunny ran by me, and Riley ran ahead of us and rocked the race! It was raining a bit and Sunny was struggling, and the stroller was super heavy but we made it to the end!!!

Now that it is awesome weather, the kids want to play with friends after school, but the rule is that they can't play until they have practiced violin...SO, Riley has been setting his alarm for 6:30 every morning, gets himself to the music room and starts to practice on his own until I meet him in the music room! So impressive!!!  Sunny will also try and get some practicing in before school starts, but for the most part, she has to do the majority of her practicing after school.
We have had 2 bins of dress ups for a long time, but the girls just discovered that it is fun to dress up, so every night, we have a little fashion show. This costume is stuffed with just about every dress up inside so that Sunny can look like a Sumo wrestler...

Regan and I have decided that we need to take back our backyard since Sweetie has been destroying it, so we took a whole entire Saturday to do just that! Regan re wired the invisible dog fence and put it into the woods so that Sweetie can run all around the woods and not in the play set. He was thick into the woods and ended up getting poison ivy. He has been itching for days!!!

While he was doing that, I decided that I hate the tiny pebbles all over our yard. It is fine that they are under the play set, but they do not need to border the back patio, so I removed all of the pebbles bordering the playset which took me HOURS. See where there is top soil in the picture above? There were millions of rocks before that top soil was spread!!!!

After the rocks were scooped up, and the top soil was spread, I called around to see who had sod and nobody had it so my project had to wait a week...

A nursery 20 minutes away finally had sod in, so I dedicated my Friday to finishing my project. I went to the nursery 3 times to get sod...This picture does not do it justice-each piece of sod weighed 40 pounds because it was so wet, so I had to unload from the car and lay 16 pieces of this heavy sod. It doesn't sound like much, but I will say that it was the hardest outside job I have ever done in my life!!!! Going up and down the hill on the side of our house and then laying it, cutting it and matching it to the other pieces was dang hard. Did I mention the pieces of sod were loaded with worms? I'm not a worm lover, or a mud lover for that matter, so when I saw myself caked with mud and worms, I knew I was a little out of my comfort zone!

It took me all day, but I finished the project and now that it is done, I am SO glad that I did it. It looks 10 times better than those ugly rocks!!! Fackrell's can DO HARD THINGS!!!
